just a random thought had... my English is absolutely atrocious (as proven... because cant spell!) recently and I was wondering whether it would be sensible to actually RE-learn English?

I havent had to write probably, i.e. marked solely on, since GCSE, which was over 4 years ago. Even then we never learnt too much about the correct ways of grammar, spelling, pronunciation...etc.
so what do you think?
Doesnt just include English could also include a 2nd language.
so, should people re-learn there language every now and then?

If you continuously hone your language skills chances are they will improve dramatically, thus in reality increasing the variationtions and complexity of the concepts you can imagine. The greater your imagination, the greater your problem solving capability becomes. Thus increasing your survival and improvement rate in the society you choose to interact with.

I'd say HELL yeah.

Read in a wider spectrum, you will automatically start picking up new words and correct spellings.

I have rectified my heinous mistake, thank you.

What treebee said is a good way to do it. The best way probably. Perhaps keeping some sort of diary can be of use in keeping your writing skills sharp, and your imagination rolling.

Make sure you read and write things that you like though. Forcing yourself through material you don't like will do nothing but install you with disgust for the language, as has been proven by SO many schools.

I think a language is such a terrible thing to waste.
