There are many people who believe that they themselves don't have any value.

Do you believe that society should abort them too?

With Ray, it's usually a mis-click.

Of course, I just think that value is subjective. If I and my girlfriend deliberately wanted to have a child, we would value it at every stage of its life. But if a foetus isn't valued, it isn't valued. Since it isn't conscious it must derive any value it has from other people.

Still trying to work out how it all works.

Now you're just being argumentative. A "mis-click" is simply a specific "cock-up".

I think people who don't value themselves tend to have underlying mental health problems like depression. Those kinds of people can be helped; an unwanted foetus is something entirely different. An unwanted foetus does not value itself because it does not value anything, being unconscious.

I have met many people who do not value themselves, even hate themselves. Do you think that they should be terminated? Just like an unwanted baby would put demands on parents time and resources, in a similar way, mental health patients are a drain on society's resources and hospital finances. You would it seems advocate helping the mentally challenged, but not the helpless baby in the womb.

I am not sure what the medical profession would say about mental health problems, but my experience would say that often it stems from emotional trauma, as well as accident and difficulties at birth.

However the current thinking is today, it often changes tomorrow. That is a fact that is written in history.
