Not feeling like a woman because of not getting period

Because I’m on birth control, I don’t get my period. That makes me not feel like a woman. It makes me sad.

The contraceptive pill works by introducing hormones into your body. Some women may have lighter bleeding, and some may miss periods altogether. It can depend on what regimen you're on. You need to see your GP about this.

Other factors can be involved. Stress, dietary changes or excessive exercise can have an effect on your cycle. Your GP will (should) ask you such questions so have a think about it before you see him / her.
