The big problem with these news about China is that Western media puts out as much propaganda-laden bull as Chinese news agencies, and it's difficult to know what the actual situation is... Objective journalism isn't just dead, it has been buried for decades now, and what we're left is just propaganda that serves the objectives of different groups.
I mean, in 2019, a mainstream French newspaper ran a story about how most of the stories used to justify the 1999 bombings of Yugoslavia were fabricated...

I've noticed that too. I've also noticed how a news story pops up, then disappears. It's as if the news worthy event originally reported is no longer news worthy. "Manufacturing Consent" by Noam Chomsky. Here's something from my blog (later the UN came back and reported they couldn't determine if the rockets were from Iran - not really an answer)

So are you saying the events and the humanitarian crisis during the Yugoslavia civil war were falsely reported?
