Ikigai is a Japanese concept that means "a reason for being." The word "ikigai" is usually used to indicate the source of value in one's life or the things that make one's life worthwhile. The word translated to English roughly means "thing that you live for" or "the reason for which you wake up in the morning."

My Ikigai is just life. I totally enjoy life. I am having an absolute blast... granted the fun is spiced with a few not so great moments...

What is your "Ikigai"?

My family participates in a syndicate of small businesses. I work temporarily at various locations.

I like to watch the people; for example, the fat man who eats too much orange chicken, the drunk who complains about his wife's reluctance to have sex, or the woman in a free-food line who sneaks an extra can of beans.
