Hey there.

Oh. Imagine you're on a small island with a couple dozen people and everyone has had the opportunity to share their most intimate political and religious beliefs. Now, take away consequences since no real harm can come of saying exactly how you feel.

But there are consequences.

And now it's a matter of deciding what the real value of posting in an online forum is and how you'd like to go forward knowing that the regs simply won't agree with you on critical issues or whatever random topic.

Maybe we're all better off modeling swimsuits afterall.

Thoughts and beliefs are your own, and should be respected.
However "respected" doesn't mean "Not Challenged" or "Not Questioned"
Some people, when questioned of their arguments get pissed off and leave.

Now if you went around poking everyone in the eye all the time (physically, literally), then I could see voting you off.

I have noticed that when I poke someone in the eye they tend to become annoyed.

Back to the island

I suspect that those with similar beliefs would associate and different groups would form. The strongest personality in a group would dictate a belief system.

There would, of course, be groups within groups.

And ...and if there are some who do not join any group they would be religated to the edge of the herd to be fed on by prediters
