Leave Voter Is Dismayed To Find His Plan To Retire To Spain Could Be In Ruins

Go to around 12:50

Soon to be retiree Brexit voter finds out that he now might not now be able to move to Spain and wants a second referendum.

Presenter Dale (an avowed hard line Brexiter) admits he's "not an expert" and then continues to give advice completely contrary to that given by lawyers in Spain who one could reasonably presume know what they're talking about.

Quite simply it's this: There is nothing in May's "Deal" that allows freedom of movement and as it is one of her, no notorious, "Red Lines" there can be no possibility that she will go back on that.

Spain is starting to reciprocate in kind and will treat Britain as a "Third Country" which will make it as difficult for us to move around Europe as it will for Europeans to move around here.

I feel sorry for this bloke. He's worked for forty years and for most of that time has had a dream of a retirement in warmer climes. There is a property that he wants to buy and had Brexit not happened the transaction would have gone through seamlessly and he could have looked forward to his hard earned retirement.

But not now.

Now he wants a second referendum because without one Brexit will rob him of his dream. And there are millions like him with that or other aspirations who are only now starting to see the light.

Meanwhile, Iain Dale spouts the usual soothing rhetoric: "They won't do it. They need us more than we need them. You'll get your retirement, don't you worry. Everything will be alright in the end."

We've been listening to that bullshine for the last two years and what choice now faces us? The cliff edge or the abyss.

Putin says May needs to go through with Brexit and not have another referendum.

"She must enact the will of the people, expressed during the referendum," he said. "Or otherwise it is not a referendum at all: doing it over and over again if someone did not like it [the result]. Is it a democracy?"

Haha - Putin lecturing the west on Democracy

You couldn't make it up, could you...?

This subject has come up on one of the gay forums I use, only the poster gave it a much better title.

"Brexit Who Voted To End Freedom Of Movement Dismayed To Find Out That Freedom Of Movement Has Ended".

Why do other people always get the best thread titles...?
