So, I've been trying to decide where to go on holiday in March/Apr next year.

I've really torn between a number of places/trips - using a travel company that I used to do South Africa recently.

Therefore, for a bit of fun, I'm going to let you decide (possibly).

I heard the moon and mars is a good vacation places in the fall and winter, and a good sun tan in spring and summer.

if you want go somewhere on earth, two places the Bermuda triangle is a good place to get lost, and go undercover, the place for you is atlantis.

also, go to las vegas, bring your bible and praise for your sins. the people goes casinos and plays " holy rollers ". of course, you win, you said, " amen ", you are in with god, but you lost, you said, " holy crap! ".

you can't afford go on the trip, go to your backyard and dig a hole and ahead to china.

Sorry... overkill to follow....

Bali: My son is there now...he's having a great time. He is late twenties, and most of the "foreigners" he's meeting are between 20-30, various European countries, he's having a blast... snorkeling, surfing, food, drink, etc... He's planning on being there somewhere between a month and a year (...? I guess he got the travel bug from me )

Borneo... A friend goes there, but he is a jungle survivalist nut... I could tell you about roughing it, but don't know anything about the tourist angle.

Jordan, Israel (I have a dozen or more friends and family who loved Israel), and the Palestinian Territories... you're not an American, so should be able to visit those places safely and have a great time... the Dead Sea, Petra, etc...many great things in the ME ...but also people that don't like each other...

Taiwan...great food...probably much more, but I don't know from experience, but have friends that rave about the place.

South Korea... I have a number of friends from SK...If you really want to go, I could reach out and get you a list of "must do's"... Very good food. There are some cool mountain climb/hikes...more hikes than climbs.

Somewhere else (please state where):

The list is long... what do you like? More people around or less? Beaches or mountains or jungles? More history or more nature? Big city or closer to nature? Wine country, lake country, high deserts...? Ancient ruins or modern city...? Scuba diving or mountain climbing... Jungles...do you like jungles? Are you willing to do "volunteer" work?

You get the point.

There are so many places... as a non-American you could go to Iran (I'm dying to go... but it won't happen for me...I've already been blocked once...

This is the one I'm currently most drawn too.

The dry season will be more expensive... normally.

Last year nearly to the day...repeating myself... I did Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Singapore.

Oddly, I think, Myanmar was the most expensive and the most rustic.

If I was doing the trip again, I would go: Myanmar-Thailand-Laos-Cambodia-Singapor.

If you want and have time, I will PM you our itinerary.

Seriously, if you want that trip, I have friends that will be happy to help once you are in country....as long as you are as nice as I think you are (way nicer that I am) you will be treated very well!

Thanks for all your suggestions.

I've made up my mind that I'm doing this trip. vvv This is what I'm doing, but going to add Laos at the start and an extra couple of days in Vietnam at the end.

I'm just waiting to a) see if my friend can come with me b) see if I can get the time off work (shouldn't be an issue but I've just asked for some other leave so feel like I need to wait a bit to ask for some more).

I'm pretty much 99% sure this will happen!
