do girls prefer heels, flat shoes or trainers these days? A hard choice sometimes.

I think it's all up to individual preference. I like wearing flats. Basic flats. No stupid bows or buttons or crazy a** decorations. No overly pointed toe, no flat toe. Just a basic rounded toe flat - which is freakin' ridiculously hard to find sometimes. They discontinued my last style so I'm on the hunt for a new one.

I also like my keds tennis shoes.

High heels are not for me - not my kind of pain thanks.

I do like heels when I can get to wear them. Adidas trainers as well. I have to wear flats to school.

Be glad. Trekking around campus in heels is not comfortable. There are other times to show off the fancy footwear.

High heels have ruined many women's feet over the course of time. My grandmother had to have surgery on her feet by the time she was 60 because she had worn heels every day of her adult life. After the surgery, it took her three weeks before she could walk somewhat normally. She never wore heels again.

It's smart to have your trainers for stuff like that.

I understand. Granted I'm not short, but I do understand the association of heels, height and confidence.

My grandmother grew up in an era when women were expected to wear high heels all the time. Thankfully that is not the case now.

Maybe it's just my geographical location, but there are a lot of boots that give you the height without the same issues as heels. Not so severe on the slope and sturdy.

Some are super cute too. So it's not all typical "cowboy boots".

I see those more on campus than pumps/heels.

I love the look of a good shoe, I just can't wear most of them, so I think I notice them more than usual.

I think you are right. I can wear my high heeled boots for much longer without my feet hurting. Shoes are not often so easy but I still wear them quite a lot.
