Which part?

The remembering of the west's past failings? Or the application of today's west to other cultures?

Or...?

Do we just dictate to others what they should do or should not do? Or do we understand from our own past failings that some people need to mature also...at their own rate?

To me your argument seems to be much the same as the parent condemning his/her child for f***ing up in the same way that the parent did....without understanding or remembering the past.

Granted we should not just sit around and do nothing...but it would seem that you prefer to ignore the past (in this case most likely the behavior of christians past) while condemning the present (behavior of Muslims).

The main difference, aside from time, is technology.

The things that muslims terrorists do today truthfully is little different from the things that christians past did...with the exception of technology (as in a more advanced an efficient way to kill).

It is like years ago "you" looked at a playboy magazine and today "your" child looks at porn on the internet...in the past you would have looked at the internet porn but only for the fact that it didn't exist.
