i was so glad to get rid of " dialup connection ". you're right. that system is slower than moses and israelites goes through the desert for 40 years in search of walmart.

Out here where I am DSL , wireless or cable is not available .
My two options are dialup or satellite both connect at the same speed ( I know this because a neighbor had satellite ) the difference between the two is about 50 .00 dollars month not including whatever it costs to get the dish brought out and set up . Then it's at least 75.00 or more every time something goes wacko with the dish for a service call .
At the time that the neighbor had his dish , I was paying 12.00 a month for dialup ,he was paying 50.00 a month and it seemed that he was down more then not ,always waiting for a service all .
