Random thoughts and memories. The first albums of his I recall when I was a DJ were "Hunky Dory" and "The Man Who Sold The World". Even then, when I first saw these albums, I thought, here's someone who marches to his own beat. The first song I remember is "Space Oddity". I never saw him live in person but I did see a full concert of his on television one late night back in the 70's. It was a full 90 minutes and was called "The 1980 Floor Show". I remember distinctly the very beginning was this group of guys standing in various poses with their arms and legs and then when you looked at the whole picture it said 1980 floor show. I believe he was a video artist before there were videos. His videos were always creative and interesting. He was an original and unique artist.
