Conflicting reports that maybe Jerico was not killed.

I would love to be proven wrong. But there are laws in various countries for example that are meant to ban the sale/traffic of ivory and rhino tusks and yet the problem of poaching with these animals is as bad as its ever been, and animals continue to be pushed to the edge (and in many cases over) of extinction.

Re this particular case. First it needs to become law, and next that law needs to have appropriate sanctions. Law enforcement agencies then need to be sufficiently funded so that the laws can be effectively enforced. Furthermore, it will take the co-operatio of many nations and not just a handful of countries for endangered animals to be properly protected. I hope this is what happens but i am still somewhat pessimistic that it will.

I can see both sides in this personally. I agree, killing Cecil was f***ed up and he didn't deserve to die, I also agree, that Palmer, is a piece of s*** but aren't death treats a little too far, is that much better than, Palmer killing the lion? and to his family, it's not their fault that they're related to lion-killer.

Since this is only something the wealthy can do, it won't change. Change comes when the wealthy want the rest of the world to toe the line.
