soccer owns rugby in my opinion
depends on how u look at it
some like it
some dont
rugby is a pure teamsport...
it CANT depend on 1 single dude
in Soccer, it can
1 single person can control the whole game
all the others can depend on 1 person, and without him
they can suck pretty bad
ok, i know, rugby has a so called "organizer" to,
but what i mean is, in rugby, u REALLY have to follow ure team, and work together
in soccer,
u can say "f*** it" and go for a "impossible" try
and with addition of luck, u might proove the opposite
simple examples :
- Zinedine Zidane... when he decided to retire from International Football, France started to suck... they had difficulties with "lower" qualified teams...
- Ronaldinho or Eto'o... take one of them out (or both) and they will loose... (they did actually)
- Maradona... for the "soccer-noob"... yes, he was a whole team by himself
These simple examples shows, that soccer is a TOTALLY different game, and im not starting about the way its played, to obvious

BUT, in Rugby, its teamwork...
extreamly strategic game, if one person involved in a strategy doesnt follow, or gets confused, its over...
i enjoy watching Rugby, always looking out for action... like a tremendous run... or a awefull tackle
or very fastpaced sidepasses while doin 20 miles an hour

anywayz
i think
we all must agree, that Soccer offers more "eyecandy" action. All soccerfans, who have internet, have one, or more clips with soccermoves/goals/whatever... and u can watch it over and over and over and over
like Ronaldinho taking the ball in his own half, passing 5 men, and then blasting the ball in the corner of the goal
or Ryan Giggs doin a faaaaaaaaaaast 60 meter run and blasting the ball, unblockable
u can watch that over and over and over
but i cant imagine myself any action in rugby that u can watch over and over and over

hmm
i do think soccer is the better sport to watch
and yes, some matches can really get boring after 20 minutes
but we all do remember matches like Portugal-England in european champs... from the first second, untill the penalties... u didnt blinked one time

anywayz
i talk to much
