This is not about you. And you are putting lies in my mouth.

Who said anything about taxing the rich more than anyone else?

Such imaginary thinking is what you need do think to post what you did.

Do you recognize the immorality of our product taxing system, in terms of it taxing the income of our poorest citizens at a much higher level than the rich?

Then what are you actually saying in your original post?????

Lets look at Tax.

People who have a job pay a %. Thats a percentage. So someone may pay more or they may pay less. But its the same percentage of the wage.

Lets look at VAT, in UK, its 20% of product cost. So how do you change that without making the more successful (in terms of wealth) pay more???????

I have a job and I don't pay tax.

"Taxes on wages will raise wages, and therefore will diminish the rate of the profits of stock… a tax on wages is wholly a tax on profits; a tax on necessaries is partly a tax on profits and partly a tax on rich consumers. The ultimate effects which will result from such taxes, then, are precisely the same as those which result from a direct tax on profits." - David Ricardo, the principles of political economy and taxation p.140

VAT is paid for out of the profits of the companies. The rate of VAT does not have much impact on the prices we pay in shops. I know of products where, when VAT has been reduced or even removed, the price has gone up. Conversley, when it is applied or increased on a product or service, the price has fallen.

"Defensive much?"

Absolutely. I deal mostly with religious fundamentals and other fools.

This last improves greatly what you said before. Thanks.

It is true that the whole taxation systems need a lot of work. I just chose the most glaring and immoral part of it, --- but if people are not going to recognize that immoral part then going deeper into taxation would be a waste of good time.

It's essentially the same as what I said before. I merely spelled it out more.

It is immoral. You scrap it and make up the downfall with a rise in the income tax for those above the poverty line. That is progressive taxation.

And because of these impressions of yours, you think we should keep regressive taxation on the books.

Thanks for showing us your morals.

Yes YOU had better start paying more taxes. Im sure there are people poorer than you. Its YOUR fault.

Next time you go abroad, think of those people starving because of YOU.

Is that what your saying?????

I think its a good idea, but you should lead by example.

Many do think that they are not paying their fair share.
