That's true, but the same could also be said for a lot of those types of games, like Jetpack Joyride. I ADORE that game because while it is just going down randomly-created corridors and dodging obstacles, it keeps it interesting with things like missions that reward you for specific goals and different vehicles that change how the game is controlled. Plus it's free, although you can pay money to unlock things, but it's much better to just play through and unlock everything.
When I played Flappy Bird, it didn't really resonate with me. I played it on a friend's phone twice, but I got to 12 on the first try, which isn't too bad I guess. I think it's good that it's simple and easy to play/learn, but it couldn't really keep my attention.

Sometimes Candy Crush & Pet Rescue Saga can be a real challenge too!! I used to play W.O.W. but didn't really find it that difficult, partly because I never had time to PVP 
It would be nice to have more time to play games..... one I always found challenging was Monopoly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
