Hmmm... that's like saying, only Steve Irwin, Steve Irwin, and Steve Irwin, to be honest (he was both an expat and a knobend )

Hey, no trashing my childhood hero.

Seriously though, he is remarkably disliked by Australians for his poor attempt to actually be an Aussie.

No... he was an Aussie made suitable for septics (Americans)

I think the average Aussie would have b****-slapped him after five minutes to get him to shut up.

No self respecting Aussie says crikey.

Not true. Whether 'crikey' is used in general day to day conversation really depends on where you live. If you live in the big smoke then you most likely wont hear it. If you live in a mid-large size country town you will rarely hear it, but if you live in the bush its still a commonly used expression. Esp among people over 30. Dead set

Maybe in the big smoke i dunno. But in the bush i havent met anyone who didnt like the big fella. And he did a lot to try and protect Aussie wildlife. A lot of people think the way he was on the box was not ridgey didge but thats bollocks. I know someone who visited his Australian Zoo years before he got his mug on the tellie and years before he was in any way famous...and they say he was exactly the same back then in his enthusiasm, speech etc as he was years later when he became a household name.
