What’s up guys? I write and speak Russian pretty well. I’ve been living in Russia for quite a long while. Go ahead and ask me any questions on the language. I’m not too often on the forun though. Mostly read the Jokes & Humor section...

Cool! What's up? I've been buried in homework so yeah, this is the first time I've been back online since my last post.
Thanks and trust me, I will have tons of questions... after the tests tomorrow.

откуда такой интерес к русскому языку?

A lot of reasons.

1. I want to read Russian media so I can learn more about the Russian space program. The American media only covers for NASA but there's a lot happening in Russia right now with the new Vostochny cosmodrome in Amur oblast, the new Angara rockets, and all the new exploration projects.
2. I've met 6 Russian people in real-life and they were really cool. One of them taught me how to say превет and что это and now I wanna learn more.
3. I had to pick 2 languages to learn for school. I wanted to study Russian and German but there's no course for Russian so I've been trying to learn it on my own. It's working!
4. People talk a lot about Russia here so I got really interested and I studied a ton of Russian history, maps of Russia, the culture and holidays, and Russian blogs. I don't think anyone can really understand a new language if they don't understand the people who speak it.
5. Snow. Russia gets tons of snow and we almost never have any snow here so I wanna visit Russia but I wanna know how to talk to Russians when I do.
6. Tosevski lives only 3 hours away from Moscow and I wanna go there too and check out Postojna cave. There's even a train that runs through it.
7. I don't really get why I got so interested in Russia (except the space program thing and Tosevski) but everybody gets interested in other countries. I just got really interested in Russia.

Btw, is there really a Teremok near Novy Arbat in Moscow? I think I saw one on Google Earth.

Привет. Большое спасибо! Очень приятно.
Саранск? I know where that is. Республика Мордовия. On the Saranka and Insar rivers.
I have been very busy this month studying Russian culture and history and language. There is so much to learn but I will try to be online more now.

If you go to Russian book store, there you can buy clear plastic stick on letters for your English keyboard. The Cyrillic letters are in red and are seen below the English characters on the keys. They do not cover each other up. Then select language preference on your language bar for what you want to use. This is very convenient for typing both languages.
