@Svejk Said
откуда такой интерес к русскому языку?
A lot of reasons.
1. I want to read Russian media so I can learn more about the Russian space program. The American media only covers for NASA but there's a lot happening in Russia right now with the new Vostochny cosmodrome in Amur oblast, the new Angara rockets, and all the new exploration projects.
2. I've met 6 Russian people in real-life and they were really cool. One of them taught me how to say превет and что это and now I wanna learn more.
3. I had to pick 2 languages to learn for school. I wanted to study Russian and German but there's no course for Russian so I've been trying to learn it on my own. It's working!
4. People talk a lot about Russia here so I got really interested and I studied a ton of Russian history, maps of Russia, the culture and holidays, and Russian blogs. I don't think anyone can really understand a new language if they don't understand the people who speak it.
5. Snow. Russia gets tons of snow and we almost never have any snow here so I wanna visit Russia but I wanna know how to talk to Russians when I do.
6. Tosevski lives only 3 hours away from Moscow and I wanna go there too and check out Postojna cave. There's even a train that runs through it.
7. I don't really get why I got so interested in Russia (except the space program thing and Tosevski) but everybody gets interested in other countries. I just got really interested in Russia.
Btw, is there really a Teremok near Novy Arbat in Moscow? I think I saw one on Google Earth.
