@trebee I do agree that men and women are both capable of taking care of children well. I apologize if I seemed to ignore that idea. I also do acknowledge the fact that many parents do have to work to make ends meet; thereby making it impossible to stay at home.
However, I guess I was not as clear about my purpose as I thought I was. Nowadays, I feel that women that stay at home are being degraded for not working as hard as those that do work out of the home. Many times, those who criticize this group are those who also promote women's rights. I disagree with that way of thinking. I feel that a woman who stays at home should feel empowered to influence a whole new generation. I want people to acknowledge that staying with and educating young children at home can provide the foundation they need for a brighter future. Statistics even say that homeschoolers ranked above the 85th percentile in the nation.
As an aside, I would like to know how my post came out as sexist. I'm not sure I have a complete grasp of the concept of being sexist. Thank you for your time commenting on this post. I do appreciate honest opinions from others.
@someone_else_again @floydgirrl How exactly do I come off as a 77-year old with Alzheimer's? I don't have any of the symptoms. Is it weird for a young person to have opinions like these? How so exactly? Rather than commenting on me (an ad hominem argument), if you feel that I don't know what I'm saying, please enlighten me with your opinions on the matter.
@chaski Is that so? Do you think there was a valid reason everyone reacted that way? I guess, I would react the same way as them. Then again, it's hard to know whether they meant any harm by it, right? Since curiosity is natural to man, doing something like this at that would would probably be... natural.
I would love to know all sides of the story for future reference. Think of it as teaching someone who knows absolutely nothing. I would appreciate honest opinions on the issue.
