Good catch Dr. Ranjan Batra!
https://news.yahoo.com/thanks-lincoln-mississippi-finally-definitely-ratified-thirteenth-amendment-024920825.html

And what was wrong with these states anyway?
Delaware ratified on February 12, 1901, after having rejected it on February 8, 1865
Kentucky on March 18, 1976, after having rejected it on February 24, 1865
Mississippi started March 16, 1995, after having rejected it on December 5, 1865
Mississippi's 1995 ratification was not formally filed with the US Archivist for unknown reasons. The ratification was forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register in 2013, and on February 7, 2013, the director of the Register certified that he had received the ratification and that it was official.

From the link: A middle-aged recent immigrant from India recently set into motion a series of events that eventually led to Mississippi finally ratifying the Constitutional amendment banning slavery.

See!! Those immigrants are just plain no good!!!

But really... Mississippi... they are ranked something like the 50th state in math, for them its only been a few days not 150 years...

The 13th Amendment became the law of the land in December of 1865.

States that ratified the amendment after that were just show-boating.
A meaningless photo op for some politician.

So yea...perhaps Mississippi was doing what they supposed to be doing...saving taxpayers dollars on useless ratifications of already enacted federal law!

Correcting a state's arrogant and racist past is just show-boating and a meaningless photo op for some politician? Really?

Or perhaps because they disagree and were populated by redneck misogynistic bigots as shown by the fact they also rejected the right for women to vote in 1920 and were last when they corrected in 1984?
