Christmas music question...

Don't know if anyone has posted this question or even thought about it.... but since I'm in the US, I'm wondering if other countries have different Christmas music than we do.

I mean there are the classic music songs from Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, etc. But here in the US we have Alvin and the Chipmunks songs, Mariah Carey, and various artists doing Christmas songs.

For example, if we hear Mariah Carey in the US do people in the UK hear more UK artists (sorry I can't think of any right now)? Or do we all hear pretty much the same artists during the holiday season?

When it comes to Christmas music I cannot really stand contemporary artists' attempts, especially rock/pop stars. To me rock music and Christmasy feel do not mix.

I'll stick with Sinatra and Crosby for the standards, and Guardaldi for the classical piano.

We get everything from Bing, classical, orchestras, jazz, modern, rock and roll, silly ones. We run the whole range here and it makes it very interesting and diverse, so I at least never get bored of hearing the Christmas songs.

We get mainly Mariah Carey, The Pogues, Wizzard, Slade etc etc.
