I'm not quite sure where you're going with this and why. The guy was arrested because of what he was doing, not because of what he was saying.

Well they do say alchohol brings out the truth. I dont see what the deal is anyway. Any child with a brain will know that Santa aint real. I never believed in that made up stuff. Same as the tooth fairy.

When I was 6 and a few days before Noel, my mother told me there was no Santa. Up until then, I thought he was true. See, it was last day of school before Noel break and we were colouring and this boy told me there was no Santa. I go home crying and tell my mom and ask if true , that is when she told me it was all a sham. I was actually crushed.

As far as the police were concerned, this was the big deal:

"The man, whose name was withheld in the release has been charged with Causing a Disturbance by Being Drunk and Breach of Probation.

Additionally he is facing a Liquor Licence Act offence of Public Intoxication."

The Santa thing makes for a better headline. That's all.

Strangely, I quoted that from the article the first time I read it but now it's not there....what the heck?!?
