From your linked article: "As Elmendorf and Feldstein did in 1989, Auerbach points out that business investment responds to changes in corporate tax rates. Lower corporate tax rates feature in both Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan’s economic plans, as they do in the report produced by the Simpson-Bowles commission."

The US corporate tax rate is close to, if not the highest among nations. Yet, the left does not want that rate cut either.

A thought: if income tax cuts don't spur the economy, how do you figure income tax hikes would?

That the top corporate taxed countries are also the top producing countries belie your math.

I've advocated for lowering business tax rates on this very forum. You're welcome to search out the threads if you want.

When did I say raising income taxes would spur the economy?

The "rate" may be, but we have way more deductions/credits/loopholes than anyone so hardly anyone pays the headline rate. As you can see...

If this is your firm theory on the Republican Party, what would be your firm theory on the Democrat Party? A study conducted by the Aberdeen Business School in Scotland looked at many of the tenets and characteristics of groups on the Political Left (if that constitutes any makeup in the American Democrat Party) and concluded much of the characteristics of the Political Left are similar to cultism. https://www.rickross.com/reference/general/general434.html

democrats are living examples of reductio ad absurdum. Both political parties are fools and tools and neither exhibit anything which the idea of America is founded on meaning a method of finding strength within yourself to rise to your maximum. Both political parties are in it for their own personal power simply using different means.

As far as a firm theory, what I say is by NO MEANS a theory. It is not a fact, nor is it a law or even a hypothesis. It is simply a useless opinion of a passive observer.

I'll vote for Gary. Why? Because from his position, it puts the power of the government back into the hands of the people, not the Senate, nor the president, nor the industrialists.

We the people...
