Hurrican Isaac

What, no thread on this???? Anyone from Louisiana? Hope you all are staying safe, I read the levy was breached!!!

Levy was breached, but it's one of those swamp parish levies.. so very few people living there, and the alligators like a good swim.

NOLA is doing well, lots of rain, lots of wind but no major flooding, and the pumping system has backup power now.

Ive never been in a Hurrican but I saw some of the updates on the news. It looked so scary I could not imagine what it would be like. I just hope everyone stays safe. Im thinking of you. Please all take care.

The hurricane has stalled around NOLA for over 12 hours now and is still maintaining its power...

It finally lost some power (to an high end TS vs cat 1 hurricane) as it moves inland but it is still moving extremely slowly...
