He may lose his medals, but I don't see his career as ruined. It wasn't ruined after the pics of him smoking pot got out.

Though it would have been safer/smarter for him to have waited until after the 16th to even do the photo shoot.

He would only risk losing his medals if he deliberately defied the Olympic ruling, which he didn't. It was an accident as the pictures were leaked, not deliberately and consciously released.

The ad wasn't going to be out until after the 16th, but the photo shoot was done before the specified date. Wouldn't that factor into it?
