You are good at giving rote answers, but they are not well thought out. The entire book of Genesis is not in the dead sea scrolls. How can you say when it was written? Or have any verification of it's content?

I never give a rote answer, lol, if I give an answer it is one I have thought through, even if I did get the gist of it from another book. I always check my own reasoning (if not my own quote formatting as I should, lol) I also sometimes, obviously, put other material in to confirm what I found what I say. Getting the answer right is very important, in fact it literally is a matter of life and death for my readers anyway.

I did not say that the entire content of any book was in the dead sea scrolls, in fact I carefully said "Have a look at the list of what was found in which cave, certainly portions of the first 5 books were there." I did not even say that portions of all of the first 5 books were there though maybe I could have been clearer about that. Maybe I should have said that certain portions of the Pentateuch were there because I was thinking of those books as a group.

Interesting, thank you. The second one is particularly interesting I have little faith in Carbon dating, though I have to admit I feel it is at least moderately reliable as a guide this side of about 2,000 BCE.

Why about 2,000 BCE?

Because I feel that the water mantle being brought down to the earth may well explain sciences doubts about Carbon dating over any period longer then about 4,500 years. I don't see how anyone can even guess at the changes it may have wrought.

No, except the self-fulfilling or coincidental ones. Just sayin'.
