Petrol Running Out - Everyone Panic Buy!

The shame is, the idea has been around for a long time...

The fuel stations all around Beirut are going to stop selling fuel for a few days next week. They say it's to act against the government and its prohibition on increasing fuel prices that the fuel stations so "desperately need to do." The government called them all a bunch of mafias and there heated debates in parliament. It was pretty funny.

Anyways, long story short, everyone go live in the woods.

When are we going to start using potatoes/electricity to power our cars?

there is an electric charging point at Loughborough university, except I think you can only get an hour away before needing to re-charge

that is a shame. i used to love taking the train when i lived in liverpool.


very true....England has a lot of offshore windmills right? Electrical cars seems the way of the future really. We have a lot of electrical car use over here now. They seem quite nice.

we only drive 5k miles a year.
we average 20 mpg.
5000 divided by 20 = 250 gallons X about even say $5 a gallon is $1,250 a year.

must be a an american brand car. they eat loads of gas.

my VW gets 60mpg....diesel mind you.

we have a 2000 pontiac montana.
its a mini van.
it can get 27 mpg on the highway

we had one, a 2002 jetta diesel
it got 45 mpg on highway, but it was an automatic trans.

the chevy volt runs on gas when the battery runs low.
