Buying a new laptop? mac or vaio?

I'm about to buy a new laptop and I don't know what to choose: a mac or a vaio?

I have a Sony Vaio, not had a mac before so cant really help too much with a comparison but I so like the viao

never heard of vaio...what type of operating system do they use?

I'd get the vaio, it uses the Windows 7 operating system and that makes it a lot more comfortable in my opinion, and a lot more compatible with most programs.

What about Dell Inspiron? Don't you think they are good?

i have the small netbook dell inspiron and im impressed with it, not as a main machine of course but it is good as a back up. i would go for something that has Windows as its OS but it depends on what you perosnally prefer, that is just my preferene

I saw this make on the odd one a couple of weeks ago when I was looking. Sony i think has had it's day and definatley not in the laptop side. Music yes, laptops no. I'd go with mac if you can afford one or dell
