Cat or dog people are both crazy. My parents wouldn't allow any critters in the house. We had one dog though. He wandered into the yard from the road one day. He made his home under our corn crib. Would only let sis near him or feed him. He hated everybody. We let him stay because he left the livestock and chickens alone and he would raise hell if any strangers came around.
I used to laugh my butt off when I came to town and saw people with some totally worthless little ball of ugly fur, with doggy clothes on being led around on a leash. Always wondered who bred that thing and for what?
The Hooker boys from down the road were dog people but their dogs earned their keep. They had dogs for running 'coon all night and other doges for bird hunting (pheasant, quail). Even they didn't allow their dogs in the house or pamper them.

Are asking who bred the dog or the people?

I'm more a cat person. they are easier to take care of. Though I do miss Harper but he was more like a cat

I'm both right now, but I wasn't raised with any animals because of allergies. I've had cats first as an adult, but they were usually strays or a roommate's. Our cat now belongs to my daughter, I'd probably get rid of her (the cat, NOT the daughter! ) when my daughter leaves because she's nothing but trouble!!! Our dog was a pound pup......she's more like a person not a dog. But I like big, outdoor dogs myself.

I am too. They're so much easier than dogs and have cool little personalities.
