How do you listen to music?

Do you have a certain way of listening to music?

Like do you listen to it in blocks (by one artist, like whole albums at a time), or do you mix it up and have a playlist?

Also, do you have certain music that you have to be in a certain mood/setting to listen to?

For example I can only really listen to Sigur Ros in the evening when things are still. I usually like to have some candles lit in my room as well, adds to the ambience of it. I also have a certain playlist that I listen to when getting ready to go out as it energises me and puts me in the mood to party.

I usually hit random. I'm rarely in the mood to listen to a whole album, unless it's a new one to me, but I prefer random And I don't do playlists i would have too many songs I would want to put on one so for me random is perfect

Pop music when I go out to party at the weekends

To be honest my music listening is completely random.

Some idiot is bound to say, "with my ears," so it might as well be me.

And also that's not completely true, deaf people can sense music by feeling the bass vibrations.

I go by mood. I love instrumental music the best, but I will listen to almost anything when I am in the mood. I group things by emotion and play what seems to work at the moment.

I go through artist and genre phases.

For about two months, it'll be nothing but rock, next month it will be nothing but pop, the other, it'll be all oldies, sometimes, it's almost every song by an artist/band

I do playlists for different things at home, I have ones for cooking, chillout/feelgood and going out. Usually have a general one too is all my fave sons at the time. On my mp3 i'm a bugger for skipping past loads of songs and just playing certain ones over and over till I get bored of em!

Sometimes if I'm cooking or cleaning or pottering about I'll stick on the digital radio but it has to be stuff I can sing along to like smooth, heart or magic

I usually just use my phone and go on Youtube.
I put in the Artists name that I want to listen to and find songs by them that I like. :] And sometimes I check out other songs by artists I already know and check them out.

I have playlists, but mostly I just hit shuffle.
I have one called 'myxxt' and one called 'myxxtharder' with harder rock on that one.
Then I have one called 'fah-q-myxx' with nothing but angry, well... f*** YOU songs on it.
I also am known to hit the >> button a lot too, til one catches, even tho I obviously like it all, since I put it on there.

I never listen to albums or artists. I don't have playlists either, I just hit shuffle and skip until I find something that sounds good at the moment. The genres vary too, I wouldn't say I'm more likely to listen to one over the other at any given time.
