I say we just let the whole shebang expire, on everyone.

Well, Obama certainly has more control on that than this recent debt crisis. We'll see if he sticks to his word on not signing any extension without more revenue from the upper class.

I agree. Let it expire. Then bring up tax rebates for the poor & middle class & let the pubs argue their ridiculous case!

Sure, if they didn't raise spending 10% every year.

No, it's based on current laws, such as a scheduled reduction in Medicare payments and expiration of the Bush tax cuts.

And who do you have to thank that it wasn't just another back room deal like the last ninety some times they've raised the debt ceiling. You appear to have a stake in business as usual.

You're full of s***. You don't think this was a "back room deal" Ok then tell me what the $2.1 trillion in cuts are.

(hint: not even congress knows what the cuts will be from, they are going to put together a committee to decide what they will be at a later date in a back room deal)

No problem except for the Tea Party. BTW, QE I & II didn't need no Congress.

QE I & II weren't deficit spending, they came off of the Fed's balance sheet and had nothing to do with congress.

This has been today's civic lesson.
