Yeah right. Inflammatory rhetoric is definitely what's needed in this day & age of shoot first think later.

So, tell Obama to STFU!

I think that Obama will be the one to suffer. People just don't think this type of thing through.

In normal circumstances, yes. But the Republicans don't have anybody than can legitimately challenge the other side. Heck, they can't even agree amongst themselves, as, today I heard that enough of them refuse to pass Boehner's plan.

That's kind of dangerous though.

It could just as easily backfire on Obama when people start screaming that he shouldn't have let this legislation pass in the first place.

The fight will break out when people start arguing over who was at fault, and it'll just become another protracted, pointless argument in the political field.

And remember, regardless of who's economic policies did more to slow the country's recovery, the president, and probably most of the current congress, will get ousted if there isn't 'enough economic activity to justify Obama's reelection'.

Average people don't care about the finer points of economic theory, or what makes economic sense and what doesn't. People vote based almost purely on their personal positions in life at the time of the election.

Elections oft times are not based on thought, but on feeling. And that is a major shame and detriment to any country.

At least we wouldn't have defaulted. I'd rather have a bunch of unhappy people who cannot get along with each other than the whole ship to go down because of it. Lesser of two evils. By far.
