So tired of that lame hidden message that President Obama is just no qualified enough (inferring he is just some sort of affirmative action community organizer).
So I thought- let's take a closer look:
Obama- 12 years (8 yrs as state senator, 4 yrs as US senator) Now with 2.5 yrs as prez
George W. Bush-6 yrs governor
Ronald Reagan- 8 yrs governor
Jimmy Carter- 4 yrs state senate, 4 years governor
Dwight Eisenhower- no political experience
Harry Truman- 10 yrs US senator, 1 yr VP

In fact out of 42 preceding presidents only 20 had more political experience.

According to WSJ & Federalist Society survey:
Out of the top 10 rated presidents ranked as great or near great- only 3 had more political experience than Obama.
Of the 5 worst presidents ranked as failures- ALL had more political experience than Obama.

So how does the GOP shape up?
Romney- 4 yrs governor
Palin- 3 yrs governor 2-terms mayor
Cain- no political experience
Gingrich- 20 yrs US Rep
Paul- in & out who knows?
Bachmann- 5-6 yrs state senate, 5 yrs US Rep

What did each man accomplish before they became president, while they were governors etc? That would be the real story.

Obama didn't really have experience in 2008. I can't imagine any 1 could say he doesn't have experience by the 2012 election. In fact, who says he's not qualified now?

Oh there is more than one that keeps dragging that up here at TFS discussions. Ask them.

To want to keep making stupid mistakes negates any experience you may have.

What is he not qualified enough for ?
After all he took his political training in a state that is in the top five for being the most corrupted in America.

Maybe Obama, like many Illinois governors and politicians, will be on his way to prison soon.

The debate won't be whether Obama has enough experience as much as to whether the American voter considers him competent for a second term as the country's chief executive.

Exactly. It's no longer a question of experience. Like I said, he'll have close to 4 years of it by the time of the election. The question will really be, is he competent for the job, and could his opponent do a better job?

Reagan was from Illinois. Perhaps you are on to something.

And to that end I vote yes he is!
