Found this web article identifying (what it believes) unbiased news sources for political news in the U.S. Can't say I agree with all picks, but reading the same story on all the sites would probably give a good view of what might actually be happening. Shame what has happened to the news media. Going back and reading old news reports, especially investigative reports from the 1940s and 1950s, shows how far the professional journalism standard has dropped.

Well, that article only calls one web-site, Politico.com, the gold-standard for unbiased (political) news coverage. The rest of them are more or less the biased pairs that one would have to monitor to be informed of all points of view...

The flip-side is that, if there ever was an unbiased news-source, it would be met with skepticism and ridicule, by both the right and the left....

That's the problem in a nutshell. Not many want unvarnished factual news. People pick a side and want the news to agree with the side they pick. One person on TFS comes immediately to mind for me, and then a few in varying degree afterward.

A shame that "news" has degenerated to just another political tool.
