Well, it's official..
New York State just made same sex marriage legal. Not same sex civil unions or some other half assed attempt at second rate status but actual marriage.. same as opposite sex couples enjoy, with all the rights and privileges..

So, there are currently about 80 million people in the US who are on equal standing.. no matter what their orientation..

Does the UK have a population of 80 million, or did the US just give complete and total equal rights regardless of sexual orientation to more people than the UK has ever granted?

Just wondering who feels like they're living in a backwater of social justice now...
