Okay... has anyone else experienced this with gmail and all Google related sites like youtube?
When I attempt to log in, it directs me to a page to enter my phone number to verify my account.
Earlier today, I logged onto youtube and it prompted me to enter my phone number. I just ignored it and was able to get onto my account.
Now, I'm trying access my gmail. I have two gmail emails. Both of them when I try to log on say this:
"We've detected unusual activity on your account. To immediately restore access to your account, type your phone number below. "
Then it prompts me for my phone number and country with no option to bypass this. I don't want my phone number out there even if it is just to receive my password if I ever forget it. That is why my back email is for!
And the unusual activity message TIED to both my gmail accounts. And my youtube account asking me for my phone also?
I don't like this.
