Today I had a nice cup of orange juice, natural organic milk, tea and some grilled bread with butter! I am thinking about having a cake or something... hmmm??

A 'healthy' breakfast surely must contain all the most healthful components? i.e. fat, protein and some carbohydrates. Fats are needed for normal hormone/brain function as well as providing the fat soluble vitamins. Protein again is used for some hormones (adrenalin, thyroid) as well as things like skin, hair, nails, eyes and of course muscle. Carbs give you energy

My breakfast this morning was pork chops, 1 egg, glass of milk and some weetabix

Eggs (whole eggs), oats, cottage cheese (full fat, not fat free), fruit, whole grain English muffins.

The keys to a good breakfast are getting enough of your macros. Proteins, fats, and carbs. Don't neglect any of them. Proteins and fats fill you up and are very good for you, and a few carbs will give you some energy for the day.

I eat a bowl of cooked oatmeal every day with a pinch of salt, tablespoon of butter, half cup of milk, 2 tablespoons of brown sugar (cause that brown sugar taste so good) and a handful of raisins.

A really great tasting and healthy shake that i make goes something like this.....

half a banana,
teaspoon oats
6 almonds
1 scoop whey protein
1/3 cup yogurt
milk

blend.

it tastes amazing and is loaded with complex carbs, protein and fibre.

another thing i make is microwave coffee mug cake


2 tbsp. pancake mix
2 tbsp blended oata
3 tbsp. sugar
4 tbsp. cocoa
1 egg
3 tbsp. milk
3 tbsp. oil

it works out to be a pretty filling cake that tastes great and is healthier than any alternative.

I find traditional breakfast foods tend to have too much fat or sugar or both. I've started eating cans of low sodium soup for breakfast.

Breakfast Fajitas!

6 eggwhites and a yolk
Fat free cheddar cheese
Fat free flour tortillas

Beat the whites and yolk and put in a skillet with cooking spray(I personally use canola cooking spray).
Then, cook the eggs over a medium flame. Turn eggs over and add some cheddar cheese.
Meanwhile heat up the tortillas in the mike or oven.
Finally, Place eggs in the tortillas and roll up. you might want to add some salsa.

Each fajita: calories 131, carbs 16 grms, protein 15 grms and fat 0.5 grms.
