State of Texas to decide on 85 mph speed limit. Good? Too fast?

I would say good, for the driver who * can handle it * !!!
Maybe we should do what they do in Germany, give a road test, for a * high speed qualified license to drive fast * & it costs about a few thousands of Euros. So, you really don't want to have *that* license pulled.
Speed kills? Sometimes. Stupid kills, a lot!

Well, there are parts of Texas I would love to drive through faster.

I, for one, would be happy. the parts that are 55 on a straight away are painfully slow, boring and crap for scenery.

Of course my state has 75, on the highway once you get clear of the city. Which means traffic moves at 80-85, It takes getting used to, and you have to pay attention when you are driving and two hands on the wheel, and all that jazz, but isn't that what we are supposed to be doing anyway?

Who on Earth drives that slowly anyway?
