Lol no, I meant books that are set in the 1940...as in actual events of the 1940's characterize the books.

Not written during.

And both of those are fantasy which are great and love them, but it's a whole different universe and I was looking for something that is true to history during that time period.

Sort of like the Grapes of Wrath - which was influenced highly by the Great Depression.

The Notebook by Nicholas Sparks open sometime in the late 1930's and continued to the 90's I think.
