Para Ted..Can you help

I don't often champion individual causes but I can't help myself with this one.

I want to tell you about 'Para Ted'




Para Ted is a bear that is carried on ambulances to ease the stress for young children when they have to be taken to the hospital. Rather than traumatise the child even further by taking the bear away they are allowed to keep them. They also serve another purpose.. children can point to the bear to show where they are hurting thus easing the job of the paramedic when children maybe to shy or scared to talk.

Unfortunately my child was injured last weekend whilst at his father's house and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital, so I have seen first hand how effective these bears are at settling the children.
He is recovering well now but Para Ted hasn't left his side!

Anyway back to Para ted. He isn't funded by the NHS but through donations. So if you can help please follow the links. This was the idea of a paramedic who used to keep a teddy in his vehicle.. He really needs help to reach his goal and have every emergency response vehicle carry a 'Para Ted'..
