Officially Obama is the 44th president of the United States of America but in actual fact including him there have only been 43 different people as president.

This is because Grover Cleveland was the 22nd president of the united states before someone else became the 23rd, then Cleveland became president again but because it wasn't a successive term they deemed him the 24th president of the USA.
