Interesting quote from the Education Secretary Michael Gove:

"Some people will, apparently, be put off applying to our elite institutions by the prospect of taking on a debt of this size. Which, as far as I?m concerned, is all to the good."

I hate the Tories. I'm going to pretend to slip so that I can "accidentally" hit the next Tory I see in the face.

I just realised how stupid my previous post was considering the Tory we are actually talking about at the moment is from Aberdeen.

Weirdly enough he's not representing Aberdeen though, he's representing a constituency in Middle England. Weird that.

Crazy thought, but maybe you can get a student's visa and study here in the U.S.? Take advantage of the opportunities here?
The local U.S. Embassy may have the info on education here that may help you...Like I said, it is just a thought.
There are countless outstanding Universities here in the U.S.

I'm not disparraging the system there, but if you qualify for scholarships here, why not take advantage of them?
Knowledge is Knowledge, after all.

So I still won't find him in Aberdeen? Too bad we're all so anti-Tory here. I could have heckled him or something

Quote from the commissioner of the London Police "officers who were were protecting the Royal Highnesses showed very real restraint. Some of those officers were armed".

Does that imply they could well have shot student protesters for the 'attack' on the royals?
