I was on a website that lists Scottish inventions. On there was 'The Cure for Insomnia'. Intrigued I clicked on the link. It turns out the apparent cure for insomnia is to 'Read a book'. What a typical Scottish philistine solution eh?

knowing my luck on this topic -- it would be a good book. And I'd end up staying up all night reading it. (until 1 am, anyway).

It's very bizarre, but in the end, after I've done my 26 to 30 straight hours -- anymore -- I like that mellow sort-of buzz I have, after all the work is done.

Don't know much about the Scotties -- but if it's that simple and it works...

Eh!?
Since when was reading considered a "Phillistine" pastime??

btw it doesn't work, at best a very boring book may induce a slight nod or eye flutter! (And there speaketh the voice of experince.)

Exactly! One of the reasons it doesn't work! A good book will keep you up all night!

(If I'm not stalking jacobs! Muhuhahaha! )
