On the 4th of July, the funnel was RIGHT above us! But thank god it didn't touch down.

Tornados near by. Never had one actually go over me, but within a mile from me. Scary.
And several Blizzards.

Lots of floods (I live beside a river). Several tornados. Mt. St. Helens eruption.

I haven't really had any exciting ones.
The closest I've come is when I was out horseback riding for the second time. It was just a little funnel cloud but it was coming down above us, so we had to run and I was just praying I didn't fall off and get ran over because that would have hurt like hell.

But, I think I also live in one of the safest places in the world. Alberta, Canada. Land bound, so no chance of flood, tsumani's, etc. I don't think we've ever had an earthquake. No hurricanes. We might get the odd slide in the mountains or a tornado once every twenty years, but that's it.

Nope, I've lived a fairly mundane existence. The closest I've got to a natural disaster is being in a slightly flooded field in Somerset, and even then it was one of the kinder years when the drainage system worked quite well.
