Do you think there will ever be a time, when the weekend sports games that everyone look's forward too and will mainly only be the male's league (look at Soccer, Grid Iron, Rugby and Aussie Rules. But the women's league too? Only looking forward to the games where the players are male's could be seen as sexist.

I know some argument's will be "The reason for this is because no one want's to look at a buff women" although valid it does not mean we can't still have women sports. I know if women's volleyball was advertised more or women's soccer and netball but with more skimpier clothing I know if would get a lot of attention.

Seriously I don't think there ever will be the same following.
They really don't get the same coverage(TV) as male dominated Sports, you mentioned Rugby and Aussie Rule?.Rugby League or Union with the males is a faster paced Game,(not so much league, there's to much acting)But union I know they do play as well, but women players really aren't on the same level.

Don't take me wrong here,But I've watched the Womens Golf on TV and there's some bloody good players out there, but because their not hitting as far as the men off the tee,it doesn't get as much coverage as it should.

It's always been that way,but I suppose it's like the Disabled Olympics or the Special Olympics, they only get on TV on Channel 2 or SBS here in Sydney.

I think men's sport is more popular largely because it's been like that for decades. Women's sports are fairly recent in comparison, so I guess there isn't as large a following for them as the men's sports as it's more established.

I also think that for some sports it may be preferable to watch the male version of it as it's got that slightly more competitive edge to it. I don't know whether that's just me adhering to gender stereotypes or not, but that's kind of how I see it. I'm not saying women shouldn't do those sports, by all means they should if they want, but that might be why people prefer to see men's sports.

i doubt there will ever be the same following. That kind of sport is mostly watched by men (dont flame me ladies, i love sports too, especially football, but it is still a male dominated event) so they will likely never succomb to making women's sports that popular.

Yeah, i am in full agreement with you that women sports should also be grooved. I hope in future there will be some steps be taken by the sports administrators.

Quailty off womens sport just isnt as good, women arent as strong or powerful etc in genreal so if you want to watch the best people at the highest level it will be mens sport.
