I love them. I think they look pretty and they seem to be a more sustainable and cost effective way of generating power. Yes they can be loud but if they are placed in the correct places then that shouldn't be a problem.

Definitely keep them up. They only do good. People who complain about their precious view being destroyed by these "monstrosities" will have more things to cry about when global warming starts destroying and killing their coast or mountains or gardens or whatever. Utterly selfish, selfish people.

I've never understood how they can look awful either though. I think they can look quite pretty from a distance as it's unfamiliar to the landscape. Maybe it's the unfamiliarity that puts people off the look of them- there's no way of disguising them.

There are actually many people that would prefer not to have them. You actually like the sight of them, at a distance, correct? But the companies/environmentalists that have to put them up have to put them up where there's the most wind and sometimes that's closer than you'd want it to be or on beautiful places that you'd rather have untouched (like mountains or hills). I wouldn't mind having them anywhere, near or far away but that's only because I understand how much good they do and how they can change the world. For other people, when you tell them it's for clean electricity without really convincing them about the pressure of global warming, it's hard for them to swallow it and just accept big hunks of metal in their backyard.

I don't see any viable argument against them. People say they spoil the view, but I think they look quite majestic. The opposition is led by a bunch of rich farmers who don't want the value of their precious land to drop. Their selfishness is astonishing.

Other than being an expensive, unreliable source of energy, I don't have anything against them.

Put them everywhere for all I care.

They do look nice.
So does the solar plates.
And like all products people will always find something faulty.

I like them, I always thought they looked quite pretty, and they remind me of being on holiday as a kid (that's when I always saw them ).

How else would they blow all the smog out of the valley?
