So Forever 21, is marketing to young teen moms. How is that wrong?? Its a business. They exist to make money not to place family values. If they won't market to them...someone else will.

Marketing can be targeted to anyone. Nothing will be wrong in that though. IN general, maybe some feel like they're discriminated among others accordingly to what was advertised... but then again, they are in the situation to be the only ones able to try the products' potentials eh?

And tell me more about those teen moms

I think as long as they do it in a way that's not glorifying it, there's no problem with it... Teen moms need stuff too. It's happening anyway, whether we like it or not. People been trying to prevent teen pregnancy for ages... but it's not going away.

Well, people are making a big fuss just because Forever 21 is marketing maternaty clothing. (Did I spell that right?) Anyway, they have big poster on hanging displaying the clothes, which people say is encouraging teen pregnancy. Can you belive that?

See, I'm not 100% convinced they are catering to "teen" moms unless you mean 18 and 19 yr olds.
yes kids buy their clothes, but they do sell to adults over 18, like the college age crowd, and a little older young professionals, there is very few comparable lines out there.

Trendy maternity clothes at their price point is a niche, and more of a good business decision, than endorsing teen pregnancy, in my opinion. I have a friend (35) currently pregnant with her 2nd child, and finding something to wear that is not hideously "bow and ruffle" or screaming "I'm pregnant" has been really hard. Finding something to wear to work has been a hassle. The Love21 line is like real clothes, cut for maternity, and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg for something you may only wear a few months.

Well there you have it...I guess just because more teens shop there people automatically assumed that Forever 21, was going for the 14 and up teen girls.

Well, to be fair, now young teens dress more like adults than children. Some say going a little too far in the "revealing bratz look" but either way there isn't much of a "teen only" market out there either as they want to fit in with fashion trends too.

I heard where forever 21 said 80% of their customers were over 18. I am not sure where parents buying for kids fit in that number.

Everytime I have been in Forever 21 there are more women over 21 than there are under. Reason being is women over 21 make more money usually than those under 21. lol

And the store name is "forever 21". Not 'forever 14" so i don't see how selling maternity clothes there is a problem.

Well, I'm a teen mom. And I didn't see an advertisement for maternity clothes and go "oh, I'd like to be a mom!" and then knocked up. So, I don't see the problem, really.
