i know web design has changed soo much over the years with new technology coming out every single day with different programs
out there to help you build a website and design stuff with like logo's and such
i've had exp. in this area so im not new to this i just wanna know whats new to the market on the designing part like logo's and such yea there was photoshop & paintshop pro 6,7,8,9,10
then you have your web page builder halpers like frontpage
and dreamweaver and flash, & swish for flash
but you still need to know the basics of html & xhtml,

do any of you know whats new on the market today
im building a site now
not a biggy just a about me site thats all

well as far as deign software its adobe suite CS4 , that is in use now, but CS5 just came out...
As far as coding, HTML5 is just surfacing kinda replacing Flash... and some other effects... Its the basic HTMl codes though...
CSS layouts are main now.. using CSS2 and CSS3 which is the latest...

Umm I am actually kinda a year behind myself... but this is what came to mind when i read this..

I find everyone uses the latest version of everything to build their websites and they're never backwards compatible so people with older computers are unable to use them. Not a problem for personal websites but if someone is running a business they're cutting themselves off from part of the market.

I just use notepad myself and code to HTML 5.0 standard. Find Dreamweaver and all that too expensive to keep upto date with.

Most of the web designers use dreamweaver as their site builders. I think, it's not about the latest software in creating a website. Besides, you can use any site builder where you're comfortable to work with.
