Is murder Justifiable?

Is murder ever Justifiable? Would it be justifiable if a person is murdering for their religion?

Murder for self defense is acceptable. Honor killings, the witch hunts and the inquisition were not acceptable.

I say it depends on the situation.. If its in self defense I personally think its acceptable but other than that I dont think it is.

Murder and self defense are two different things. One is an act of survival the other is not.

Probably not. Murder by definition is an unlawful killing. If you kill someone in self defence it isn't unlawful. If you murder for your religion not only is it murder but you'd likely get a higher sentence.

I understand what you're saying about getting a higher sentence, yet i'm gonna mention the Templars from ancient times when they slaughtered for the Pope, is that okay?

Justification is subjective, it all depends on viewpoints you already hold.

As far as murder for religion goes...If the victim is of the same religion and understands the same as the murderers, then it's their choice. Some believe in sacrifice. But only if they're both of the same beliefs.
