I was watching American Football once (another stupid game)and they declared some bloke to be the world champion Line Backer.
I sat there thinking how good that is when Basically it's an American Sport.

I remember back in the 60's,reading in an American Hot Rod Magazine,where the World Drag Racing Championships were on in some place over there,and America won it.
Funny how there wasn't another country involved .
